Be The Guardian Of Your Galaxy
Ford and Marvel teamed up to produce a one-off spot to promote the new EcoSport and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and I was lucky enough to get the assignment. When it came time to concept, we were given unlimited freedom. The only caveat was that we had to use Groot. The spot had to take place on Earth, Groot had to be the hero, and we couldn’t portray him negatively in any way. No aspect of any other Marvel property could be referenced or implied, and it had to be a dream sequence. Other than that, it was nothing but blue skies.
The New Explorers
To demonstrate the capability of the new Ford Explorer, we had an adventurous family drive across the country using nothing but back roads. The family ended up finishing the trip unscathed. I wish I could say the same for the Explorer.
